Beginner’s Guide to Magic

Magic is not about being “gifted.” It’s about attention, consistency, and learning to work with your energy and intention. This guide gives you a simple, safe foundation — no fluff, no fear, just a steady start.

Start here

Pick one practice and repeat it.

Keep your magic simple and clean.

Protection first, always.

What you need

A candle (white is fine)

Salt + water

A notebook

Golden rule

If you feel anxious, overwhelmed, or obsessive — pause. Magic works best from calm focus, not panic.

1) Intention (the engine)

Intention is a decision you keep reinforcing. The clearer and calmer it is, the better it holds.

A strong intention sounds like:

“I choose steady protection in my home.”
“I release what drains me, gently and completely.”

Avoid “desperation wording” like “please” and “I need this now.” Swap it for certainty: “I choose,” “I allow,” “I claim.”

2) Cleansing (clear the noise)

Cleansing is not dramatic — it’s maintenance. Do it before protection, and before manifestation work.

Simple cleanse:

  • Open a window for 2 minutes.
  • Sprinkle salt lightly at thresholds.
  • Wash hands in cool water and say: “Clear and clean.”

If you use smoke, keep it light and intentional — you don’t need to fog out the room.

3) Protection (your baseline)

Protection is not paranoia. It’s boundaries. Your goal is a steady baseline — not constant “battle mode.”

Daily shield (30 seconds):

  1. Breathe in through nose for 4.
  2. Exhale for 6.
  3. Imagine a calm light around you. Say: “Only what’s good remains.”

The point is repetition. The “spell” is the routine.

4) Tools (optional, not required)

Tools don’t create power — they focus it. Start with what you already have.

  • Candle = focus
  • Salt = cleanse + boundary
  • Water = reset
  • Herbs = symbolism + sensory anchor
  • Journal = progress + proof

Your best tool is consistency. Keep it simple and repeatable.

Your first ritual

Steady Protection Candle (5 minutes)

You’ll need

  • 1 candle (white or black)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Small cup of water

Steps

  1. Place the candle in front of you.
  2. Touch salt, then touch the candle base.
  3. Say: “My space is steady. My energy is protected.”
  4. Light the candle and breathe slowly for 1 minute.
  5. Dip fingers in water and tap your wrists: “Clear and calm.”

Close

“So it is. So it remains.”

Safety note: Never leave a burning candle unattended. If candles aren’t possible, do the same ritual with breath and intention only.
